Project Overview
Lambda Engineering executed the design and detailing of large-span roof trusses and multistory framing systems erected over an elevated reinforced concrete base. The project combined heavy industrial design requirements with architectural functionality, showcasing precision alignment and modular on-site assembly in complex terrain.

Design & Engineering Features
Structural System: Heavy-duty steel truss framing designed for long spans with minimal deflection over an elevated water reservoir.
Framing Configuration: Parallel-chord Pratt/Warren trusses with vertical bracing and intermediate lateral cross members to resist torsional loads.
Material: Welded H-beam and tubular steel members with corrosion-protective red oxide primer and on-site touch-up coats.
Foundation Interface: Base connections anchored to RCC pedestals with high-strength chemical anchor bolts designed for both tension and shear forces.
Circular Core Frame: Multi-story curved column system supporting a spiral platform structure, requiring precise fabrication and erection sequencing.
Load Considerations: Designed per AISC 360-16 and ASCE 7-16, accounting for combined dead, live, and wind loads in exposed conditions.
Erection Engineering: Segmental lifting methodology using mobile cranes for truss placement and bolted assembly under tight access constraints.

Engineering Highlights
3D modeling and connection detailing completed in Tekla Structures for fabrication accuracy.
Coordination with civil team for base-level adjustments and lateral tie integration.
Final structure validated for deflection, resonance, and uplift in exposed environmental conditions.
Outcome
A robust and technically refined steel structure integrating complex geometry, modular trusses, and heavy framing precision, showcasing Lambda’s expertise in hybrid structural design solutions for industrial and infrastructural applications.
